What is Psychotherapy?
In layman's terms it is a way to communicate with a therapist to help you with any issues in your life that have been causing you distress or upset. The therapist will guide you through a series of sessions covering your life, background, family history and relationships current or past. The therapist will discuss with you the significance of these.
Psychotherapy gives you the opportunity to understand how you really feel about the situations you find yourself in and how it makes you react as a result. When this is discovered it allows you to assess if you want to make any changes. It is a completely confidential service, in which you feel comfortable, open and supported by a completely objective person.
I have found that through the process of Psychotherapy it can allow the individual the opportunity to celebrate themselves as a unique person.
